Biography
Dr Steve Trenoweth has been a mental health nurse for over 30 years. He has worked in a wide variety of mental health settings, principally working with mentally disordered offenders, before entering Higher Education in 1999 as a Lecturer Practitioner and then a full-time academic in 2003.
Since that time, Steve has managed and led academic teams in higher education and was appointed an Associate Professor in 2013 at the University of West London in Ealing.
Steve is currently a Principal Academic at Bournemouth University and a Visiting Professor at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Bern, Switzerland. He is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a UKCGE Recognised Research Supervisor.
Steve has authored several books, book chapters and articles in nursing and health care, and is an Editorial Board member of the British Journal of Mental Health Nursing. He was awarded a PhD in 2008 exploring personal change using a Personal Construct Psychology approach... His supervisor was Prof Fay Fransella.
